Camera Roll
Today I looked at all the photos I took since January 1st. There was lots of Peanut and pottery. The rest oscillated between micro-details from the neighbourhood (I guess when you are taking the same lap around the neighbourhood for the 500th time this is what happens) and snowy views of the city from our windows (a testament to how much time I have spent looking out of the window, without stepping out).
The mix of images is curiously reminiscent of my inner landscape, which goes between minute daily life details and existential questions: Is the dishwasher clean? Should I eat avocado toast for yet another meal? Will I ever feel a sense of purpose again? Why am I so disconnected from myself? There are 4 minutes until my next Zoom meeting! And somewhere between these micro details and macro questions I always arrive at Peanut or pottery, seeking solace in the familiarity of the things that are outside my mind.
